2 golds + 1 silver = happiness
We've just scooped 2 gold awards and one silver in the recent W3 awards. Appletiser and Bloom both took home a gold each whilst BBC Thread snapped up a silver. More bling than Jacob the Jewellers skip.

European keynotes
Brendan Dawes, mN's Creative Director is squeezing in two more keynotes before the end of the year. In October he'll be giving the keynote address at Design by Fire in The Netherlands and then in November he'll be speaking at Europrix in Austria. According to his Dopplr profile he currently has the velocity of a duck.

Bloomin' eck
So following yet another nomination for Bloom, this time from the BIMAs, we're thinking that we should have a special commerative garden inspired by our flora themed carbon cutting site. We think crazy paving is long over due a come back.

Time to reinforce the awards shelf
The awards we've picked up for Bloom including FWA Website of the Day, IVCA Clarion Awards and the Y Design Awards are already making our awards shelf groan under their collective weight. But following being shortlisted in the upcoming Green Awards for Best Green Website, it looks like we're going to have to get busy with the hammer and nails and the odd bit of four by two to avoid any potential health and safety issues.

Museum Association Conference
mN's Creative Director Brendan Dawes will be a guest speaker at today's Museum Association Conference taking place in Liverpool, the 2008 Capital of Culture. This is the UK's largest museum and gallery event, with over 1300 top professionals convening to discuss the key issues that affect the museum sector.

Telling Salford's story
Over the summer the University of Salford commissioned mN to give their website a bit of a makeover and also try and attract new students. So we created a series of videos to reveal the secret side of this city, recruiting the likes of artist Harold Riley and the legendary Johnny Marr to tell their Salford Stories.

Word to your Mum
The MIXA love bus continues to roll on picking up fans far and wide. Last month we stopped to pick up our buddy Ralph Lauren ("Ralphy Baby" to his mates) and this month finds us dinging the bell to welcome onboard rapper Devin the Dude. He teamed up with us to create this special one-off Limited Edition MIXA. Now relate to the matter as we drop the bomb. Word.

Rice Krispie Cake anyone?
We've just designed a lovely new website and interactive tv campaign for Kellogg's which aims to get families back in the kitchen, cooking and baking with some of their best loved cereals. The Big Bake website is a focal point for a multi-million pound media campaign and includes a competition to find a family to star on the next Rice Krispies television advert. Get your rolling pin ready - it could be you!

Another win for Bloom
Bloom picked up another award on Friday - for Climate Change Communication in the IVCA Clarion Awards 2008. These awards are uniquely dedicated to recognising excellence in the communication of Social, Environmental and Ethical issues. Thread, the BBC ethical fashion website was also highly commended by the judges.

Art Directors Club New York
Following his tenure on this year's Art Directors Club of New York jury, mN's creative director Brendan Dawes will chair the interactive jury for ADC 88 in New York next year.

Two wins at Y Design Awards
mN are celebrating with two wins at last night’s Y Design Awards - for Bloom which won the ethical award and Saxton for Urban Splash, which picked up the mobile design award. We also received the most nominations overall, including our very own MIXA which was shortlisted for the technology innovation award.

New New Islington
The original site we created several years ago for the New Islington development in east Manchester always had a very special place in our hearts. So when we were asked to give it a revamp we really wanted to create something that would surprise and delight you.

Both BBC Thread and BBC Bloom have been nominated in the forthcoming IVCA Clarion Awards. Thread has also been nominated in the Roses Design Awards. And speaking of awards mN's creative director Brendan Dawes got runner-up in the Daylife Developer Challenge for his DoodleBuzz project.
